Lewis Hamilton for Mercedes won the race on Sunday, December 5th, with Max Verstappen for Red Bull and Valtteri Bottas for Mercedes in second and third place respectively. Despite two red-flag periods and multiple yellow flags, the race was anything but boring. Most notably on lap 37, Verstappen was instructed to give P1 back to Hamilton, but there was confusion which led to Hamilton taking front-right wing damage from clipping Verstappen.
